Make Art for the Recycle Exhibit

Saturday March 30, 2024 11-3pm

Location: 1975 Puritan Irving, TX 75061

Found Object/Assemblage

The goal of this one-day Workshop is to use art to inspire participants to recycle more and conserve natural resources. We will be working with recycled and reused materials. Email for list of recycle items you want to bring and share.

Participants have the opportunity to create art-using materials they gather from home, thrift stores, garage sales and found objects. We turn trash into art while keeping it out of our landfill. Throughout our workshop, each participant will learn how we can help keep our Earth a cleaner place to live and about sustainability.

Paintings and Assemblages

Curated by Junanne Peck and Ariel Esquivel

Paintings and Assemblages on pre-existing Surfaces will be an exhibit that celebrates the transcendent, innovative and experimental works of Art.

The goal of this exhibit is to use art to inspire artist to recycle more and conserve natural resources.

Recycled art and design encourage creativity in others— it's alchemical, magical, subversive, and transformative by nature. Through the use of these discarded materials, we attempt to not only recycle but also make a comment on our rampant "throw-away" society.

Artist will be exhibiting paintings, assemblages, mosaics, found objects, cardboard and anything else our society has deemed no longer useful.

We turn trash into art while keeping it out of our landfill. Throughout our exhibit, the community will find ways we can help keep our Earth a cleaner place to live and about sustainability.

The content must be of a nature that a public entity can display for the enjoyment of a diverse, family-type audience.
