Tetra Pak Drypoint Printmaking With Junanne Peck and Ariel Esquivel RSVP junannepeck@mac.com Tuesday-August 20 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm $40.00 - EXACT CASH- WE CANNOT MAKE CHANGE RSVP by August 16, 2024 to junannepeck@mac.com Location: Jaycee Center for the Arts, 1975 Puritan Drive, Irving, TX 75060 In this 3 hour workshop, we will use laminated food packaging, milk cartons, butter cartons, coconut cartons etc. to create our plates; engraving, cutting away and adding layers that will become our printing plate, we will experiment with creating interesting colorful backgrounds to print our plate onto. You will learn how to transform packaging into printing plates, how to make images on them and how to print them to get exciting results. These materials and techniques can be used to create intaglio prints that can be used in journaling or stand alone. workshop will bring: Scissors x-acto knife Etching needle Paper (we use Speedball Arnhem 1618) Akua Intaglio Ink Some containers Speedball Brayer Participants Bring: Apron 1 Roll of paper towels (Viva) Old Phone book...if you can find one Cartons will be provided but if you have your own saved we encourage you to bring them along to share.

Try monotype, eraser carving, & drypoint. Work with stencils. It will be just enough to pique your interest and whet your appetite. You’ll leave with a variety of prints and hopefully a desire to come to see if you want to dive into a full day workshop! Show us your Circus Art If you juggle, ride a unicycle or any of the circus acts please feel free to entertain us at the reception. And come as a clown and the best dressed clown will be given a prize of some sort... The content must be of a nature that a public entity can display for the enjoyment of a diverse, family-type audience.
